January Booking It

I've been writing up a storm, but I still managed to read a few books here and there.  Here are my favorites.

I liked this book because I like all books about remodeling falling down old houses.  As a bonus, it answered the question, "What do men do when they disappear to Home Depot for hours?".  I won't spoil it for you.

I loved this book, which I actually listened to on a long night of baking cookies back in December.  Honestly, I was up until 2 a.m. that morning making food for our party and it passed very quickly because I was so interested in this book.  It's a really brainy book that makes you think about how we might be stopping our kids from reaching their potential just by not having the right resources or having the bad luck to let them be born in the wrong month.  Read this book; just do it.
I liked this book too.  It's a time travel book involving the JFK assassination, so obviously it was fiction.  I could tell, though, as I was reading it that Stephen King did a tremendous amount of research when he was writing this book.
The premise of this book is that you should have something hand made in every room.  Many of these projects are beyond my sewing skills, but I like the idea of it.

  3. Hooray for books about remodeling old houses (our house is only 72 years old, but still older than many would like)! Just popping over from Booking It and thought I would say hello and Happy Reading!
