My Mom -- the world champion clearance sale shopper -- let me in on one of the secrets of her success this weekend. As she sees great clearance sales she marks them in her calendar. Then the next year she knows exactly when to look for certain things. For example, she knew when to look for the Christmas stuff at Target for 90% off because she knew when they discounted it last year. She also uses this method with great success at Kohl's and The Children's Place for presents for her grand kids.
